Dr Jovan Popesku, President of the IIPT Serbia, participated in the Symposium “Sultans Trail: Close Encounters of East and West”, with a presentation on the topic “Building of Sustainable Peace through Tourism’’.
The Symposium was held on September 26, 2022, in Harlem, at the residence of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW). The Academic Council of the Sultans Trail organised the Event. There were sixteen presentations by lecturers, representatives of the academic community, and research and professional organizations. The Symposium aimed to expand the knowledge of this particular and long cultural route, especially concerning development trends in the geopolitical region of Southeast Europe.
Before and during the event, representatives of IIPT Serbia and Sultans Trail analysed the possibilities of cooperation in several areas, which specifically need to be singled out as joint work on projects and the development of specific tourist products in Serbia.
